Dynamometer for measuring power of IC-engines

The aim of the work was to summarize the development of a system for measuring the power of internal combustion engines, from the initial simple dynamometers, to modern electronic devices with flange strain gauge for sensing torque compared their advantages and disadvantages, usability, efficiency, performance and manageability. Furthermore there was performed comparison with the standards dealing with this issue. Use of these devices is available, subject to atmospheric conditions specified in standard and manufacturer.
The Proposal of the Balanced Scorecard Model Implementation at Chosen Company

Master’s thesis deals with issue of the Balanced Scorecard model and the proposal of its implementation at chosen company. Strategic objectives of the perspectives are deduced on the basis of strategic and financial outcomes and also measures as well as target values are assigned to the strategic objectives. The strategic initiatives that lead to fulfill proposed strategic objectives are determined afterwards. The final part of this thesis deals with risks and benefits related to the Balanced Scorecard concept implementation.

This master´s thesis is focused on evaluation of the current state and business performace of company Remarkplast Group a.s. using the Balanced Scorecard. The theoretical part defines the concept of business performance and methodology of the Balanced Scorecard. The analytical part describes the current situation of the company and based on acquired theoretical knowledge analyze the financial, customer, internal proceses and perspektive of learning and growth. At the conclusion of the thesis, is a proposal for the implementation of the BSC concept to company. The strategic goals and scales with target values are proposed to help Remarkplast Group a.s. to improve its overal performance in the coming years.

Relation between subjectively perceived and financially measured performance of a firm

The aim of the thesis is to determine the relation between subjectively perceived and financially measured performance of a firm. The introduction of the thesis is focused on performance characteristics and measurement. Further, based on foreign and domestic researches, subjectively perceived performance is defined and comparison with objectively (financially) measured one is made. Results of the researches prove that between subjectively perceived and financially measured performance, there exists substantial to very strong statistical association. Following on an own research was carried out. As the tool for data collection serves a questionnaire sent to firms from the Czech and Slovak Republic. The data collected are compared with values of select financial measures: with ROA, ROE, ROS and Gross Sales. Said own research also confirmed a positive correlation between subjectively perceived and financially measured performance of the firm, albeit weaker than in foreign researches.
